How do I get my 7 month old to start sleeping in his own bed without CIO?

He loves to be tucked up next to me. Sometimes he will wake at 10pm wanting to be brought through and will then be settled in his own bed till 1.30am when I am too tired to argue.

He still likes a breastfeed during the night as well, is this normal for his age? I thought he'd have grown out of that by now.

I really really want to have a nights undisturbed sleep at some point, but then Im not keen on controlled crying unless it's a last resort.

Any tips?

It believe it's all down to patience!
It will take a lot of sleepless nights I think!

Firstly I got told to slowly wean mine off milk during the night, for breastfeeding probably 2/3 mins less every night or offer them water.
Also I got told to make whatever they have for breakfast with full fat cows milk and use cheese and kid yogurts to fill baby up for longer during the day.

I have been using the pick up and put back down technique and it seems to be working! So as soon as I hear my baby cry I try and settle him but reassuring him that I am there if that doesn't work I will pick him up give him a cuddle for 2 mins then put him back down and I do that till he stays asleep (can take a while) all worth it in the end though!

Which technique are you not keen on. CIO and controlled crying are 2 different ones.
