getting work done on the house so dd nearly 16mth is still in our room (spare room full of junk) not overly worried about that, however she has been poorly with a virus and then teething so she has been coming into our bed, now when its bedtime she stands in the cot crying pointing to our bed and putting out her arms to be picked up (breaks my heart) but I want me time with dh, sex is last on our list as it is but the way things are going its going to off the list forever! need some encouraging words as we are going to be having some major tantrums when we don't bring her into our bed

well, TLV - sounds like you do not want your DD in your bed.....if you were enjoying it, then carry on......i personally have never had either child in our bed...felt that me & DH needed a place to be 'us', not mum and dad......

i think you are being realistic in expecting some tantruming, maybe
use controlled crying to get through it...and perservere and both of you need to stick to it so no mixed messages.... good luck
