how long should a 15 month old sleep for

my son is 15months and he sleeps alot around 16 to 20 hours a day i know atleast he sleeps but i am worried he is sleeping two much

no, hadn't seen twigg must indeed be a pita - i suffered when pg but not for long

doc will not give a referal to see another doctor. i tried to go to playgroups ect but he is usually asleep so never really get to go out, he sleeps anywere was in target the other day and he fell asleep on floor in layby line, he literally falls asleep at the drop of a hat. we have had so many test done for other probs so they would have picked other probs up.
its nice to hear ds is not only one who sleeps alot though.

Why do you need a referral? Just make an appointment at surgery with another doc, or ask to see a nurse/health visitor!

At 15 months my ds was sleeping average from 7pm to 7am (has done since 6 weeks old) and he would have 2 naps in the day, probably an hour or so for each nap.

you don't need a referral .. demand to see another doctor .. tell him you are extremely concerned at the weight loss .. if he does not have a suitable explanation / course of action request a referral to a specialist

thanks twigtwoolet very reasuring ds has alot of food sensitivities when he is awake he does eat waht he can although due to allergies its range is limited, im in oz and cant see a specialist with out referal and normal doctors dont see just any one without putting them on a 6 month waiting list and then not bulk bill. he does not eat meat only from prepackaged foods but he is allergis to maize thicknener1422 but takes iron supplements to combat so not anemia
