Has anyone used the book 'The Rabbit who wants to fall asleep?'

Just that really. It came up as a suggested post on my Fbook page and wondered if anyone had used it and whether it really works.

Amazon description says "Your child is quickly compelled by the story and falls asleep when you read it or just after".

Can't be that easy can it? Some kind of witchcraft??

sorry just seen your post while googling the link to recommend it for a friend. It works a treat, even some how makes sure DD sleeps in (sometimes as late as 8am!!)

I was really skeptical, but it really works, although make sure you read the instructions on how to read it and read it through yourself first (try to stay awake)

Just read about this - i will be buying it! Funny how books can make such a difference to the challenges we face... I used the 'Bea Gives Up Her Dummy' story to help with dummy attachment and it sorted me out for life! goesofftoAmazon x

So I won this book and have literally just tried it with my 2 and a half year old. She is currently still chatting! I followed the instructions but I obviously sat too close to her as she kept asking to see Roger and the owl etc. If the child isn't meant to see the pictures don't put them in!
Will try again tomorrow but not holding my breath

I have the audio version, it's very clever and does seem to work!

Didn't work for me sadly, but I think the concept could work (with a child who isn't as horrible a sleeper as DS).

Update. Night 2 I started reading the same as night 1. This time she was jumping on her bed, peeling stickers off the wall, asking question after question, grrr. It was taking so long and I had to get ready to go out so Daddy took over and she fell asleep before he reached the end! And he was reading it 'normally' as in I didn't hear him emphasising any words etc.
Night 3 I made him read from the start; I could hear him on the monitor telling her to stay still or he'll stop reading so she did start messing about but again he didn't get to the end before she fell asleep. So it must be the way I read:-(
