Yes i wake him at lunchtime, It has always seemed that if I let him hve too much daytime sleep he wouldn't sleep at night. He went through a four week phase were if he slept past 2hrs he wouldn't be ready for bed at nighttime.
So at the moment he naps 12.15/12.30-1.45/2pm then bedtime at 6.30 asleep by 7pm.
To give an idea of the 7pm-7am sleeping:
Sunday: slept 6.45pm - 4am, drink of water and quick nappy change (soaking wet) back to sleep very easily, drifted off on bottle at 4.20am, woke again 6.15am
Monday: slept 7pm - 5.30am, gave drink but refused to go back to sleep so got up with him at 6am
Tuesday: slept 6.45 - 5.55am
wednesday: [last night] slept half asleep at 6.45pm then woke and wanted rest of bedtime milk at 7.05pm;
slept 7.15pm - 12.50am,
awake and screaming until 3.30am,
went in straght away at 12.50am, usual routine of dirnk fo water and nappy change, cuddle and he was quiet and nto thirsty so put him back in cot all sleepy,
1.30am - screams, left 5 mins, went in and reassured, patted and sat next to cot for 15 mins, left room when quiet at 1.50am
2.10am screams, refused drink, mounted to hysteria between 2.20 and 2.50am. me and DH with him, light on cuddles but hysterical screaming until he was hoarse.
3.30am gave a bottle of milk cos he was coughing and sore throatey by now, drank 8oz botle, got very sleepy but still whimpering,
3.45 light off, cuddle in his room and very gently put him down in cot and patted him until he drifted off
Finally alseep 4.10am
woek up 7.30am bright as a button and twice as happy!?!?!?!
this happens about once a week, its totally different form when he is teething, thne he is in pain, he pushes his face, tries to chew thigns etc, or when he has a cold he is all hot and bothered and sort of limp with the pain/ill feeling. This is hysteria out of nowhere.
