How can I get DS1 to keep his blanket on?

He's 21 months, and a great sleeper, however, now it's getting a bit chilly at night, he has started waking up at 3am because he's cold. We have tried putting a blanket over him but he just kicks it off and throws it on the floor, despite how well I tuck it under his matress. Over the summer, he has gone to bed without a blanket, as his room is like an oven. We used a grobag last winter, but I'd qyuite like him to get used to blankets or a quilt now. Anyone got any ideas?

Good idea. I might try some of those. ASlternatively, I could jsut strap DS himself to the matress!

thats a thought! or... u could sew velcro on the back of his PJs and some on the cover and voila! he won't move all night

I think gaffer tape would be more effective.
