Hi,

In need of advice. I am averaging about 4 hours sleep a night. My lovely LO has gone from her 7-7 sleep to around 7-5. I have started to strip back some of her daytime naps to see if that helps. But she also got a horrible cold which is not helping so quite a few night wakings, which is unusual for her. She is 1 years old.

However my sodding DH wakes me up when he comes to bed. He is a night owl so goes to bed near 12-1am. I struggle to go off to sleep some nights as I feel on edge as he will wake me up. And when I do wake up I am so pissed that I struggle to go back to sleep.

So between the 2 of them I am knackered!! To be fair to hubby he has seen to bubba in the night when he is awake & keeps the monitor with him. But I still wake up as I hear him crying.

Hubby has offered to go in the spare room which is ok for a temporary solution but wouldn't want that long term.

I JUST WANT SOME SLEEP!

Your baby's not going to be a baby forever, so it is a temporary solution - send him to the spare room.

My eldest didn't sleep 12 hours a night until he was 3 - so at that age he went to bed about 8.30 so he wasn't up before 6.30-7.

Could you try ear plugs for a while? I'd dh is getting up to dc sometimes it might help you temporarily.

Ear plugs! Yes! Why did I not think of that because I am sleep deprived thanks Caulkhead
hollie yes you are right, i don't actually mind getting up with him. It's my DH I wish he would just be quiet!! Spare room for him Grin
