Putting down to nap: how long before you give up?

My lo fights sleep. I know she's tired, eye rubbing grisly etc but it can still take up to an hour for her to go. I must be missing the 'window' but I've tried so many times I can't have got it wrong EVERY time!

I don't want to let her up because I want her to know crib means sleep but it's ridiculous. She's not usually unhappy in there just not asleep.

How long do you leave before giving up?

Hi, I have just posted a similar message this morning about my 12 week old fighting sleep. Does you LO cry in crib, or just not sleep?

I can't really give advice but just sympathy! I have angsted over whether I should just give up trying to get my LO to sleep if she seems happy, but all that I've read says biologically at this age they MUST be tired. So I figured from that my LO needs help getting to sleep as she doesn't know how to do on her own.

When I have given up in the past, it has meant my LO is more grossly in the day.

At least you are forming good habits with you LO falling asleep in crib. We are still at the rock and shush in arms stage :)
