Sorry am posting a bit and probably boring everyone now... But DD is currently rampaging around the house with DH and this has been going on for days. She has developed a complete aversion to her cot and hasn't settled in it since Friday night, when she woke hysterical at 3am after what we gather was a nightmare about bees Confused.

I see no end in sight to this. Thoughts on trying her out in the cot bed? Maybe moving it to a new place in the room and getting some exciting bed linen? Things cannot actually get any worse, and the novelty factor might trick her into settling? Thoughts?

We put DD in a mattress on the floor at 17 months - it was wonderful. If she woke with a nightmare we could soothe her whilst lying down next to her (and nodding off occasionally) She never wandered around the house like we thought she would - just called out when woke up. She was much happier as i think she thought cot was a cage - used to jump out of it!!.. at very young age. Give it a go!
