7 wk baby stopped taking enough food at 11pm so won't sleep

My 7 wk old baby has been taking 140mls at 11pm then sleeping until 4am. Recently he won't take more than 60 mls at 11pm so has been getting up at 2am when he will only take another60 mls and then sleeps until 4am. Have no ideas why he won't take milk we have tried everything to get him to take more but keeps refusing. I want my sleep back! Has anyone got any ideas?

Are you waking him at 11pm?
If you are, I would stop and let him wake up of his own accord, probably around 2ish. Because he can go longer without a feed now, he may not be hungry enough to down a full bottle at 11, but it's filling him sufficiently that he still won't take a full bottle at 2am. DD only ever took one bottle at night from birth and that was around 2ish, and then slept until 6:30.

Interested to see how it goes FF. Good Luck. You probably won't sleep much tonight, waiting to see what he does - it'll be interesting. Funny this 'dream feed' business. In South Africa, where I live, I've never heard of anyone doing this. They all just let the baby sleep through until they naturally wake up from hunger.
