DD is 4 months. We're in regression territory- 2 hourly wake-ups, lots of new skills etc.
In the last 2 weeks she seems to have adopted a crocheted (sp??) blanket as a security object. Problem is she's taken to pulling it right over her face at night. I got a massive bit of a fright the first night she did it when I looked into her cot and saw the thing wrapped over her head.
I've checked it thoroughly and it's very breathable as it's light, fluffy wool, reasonably loosely knit with little holes intermittently etc. I checked to make sure I could breathe through it myself and I can, easily. Probably more so than a cellular blanket even, as long as it's not folded over too much.
But still!!
Am I being a bit PFB or is this bad? She settles really nicely with it and even when she's in her pram she'll nuzzle her head into the side of her fleecy buggy snuggle yoke. DP sleeps with a pillow over his head, which I just can't fathom (I need air). Maybe it's hereditary. But it looks so wrong!
Does anyone else's DC do this? Is it okay to leave her to it or should I remove it? Or maybe put most of it under her mattress and just leave her a little bit of it to snuggle in to?
