Help my 11 week old won't sleep more than two hours at night!

And I am going crazy with sleep-deprivation! By the time I have settled him after a feed, I only get an hour or so's sleep between his feeds, then my 2 year old wakes up early - and that's when DS decides to have a nice 4 or 5 hour sleep. Argh!

DD was only 9th centile and she slept through 7 hours or so from 9 weeks old, and before that she went 3.5 or 4.5 hours. DS is 75th centile, if that makes any difference.

Any tips on how to get the longer sleeps/gaps between feed to happen at night?

HV said to not let him go more than 3 hours during day but if I offer before he's ready, he gags and refuses. Same if I try a dream feed.

(He's FF btw).

Hi, sorry you're having a hard time Sad

There is a growth spurt around 10 - 12 weeks I think so maybe that's why he is wanting food so much?

Also it's very warm where I am - is it warm where you are? The heat could be disturbing him as well.

Can you get a rest in the day at all or a lie in? Do you have a partner and/or family member to help?

Not sure if you've tried this but both of ours (DD is only 8 weeks) slept a lot better in a swaddler. We use the Velcro ones and DD is in that plus a short sleeved wrap vest & nappy (or no vest) due to the heat.
For less wriggly babies a muslin swaddler could be good (ours both break out within minutes).
