Bedtime with 2 year old and 2 month old - how?!

DD is 2 and can be tricky at bedtimes. She needs a consistent routine and a calm structured bedtime to go down well.

DS is 8 weeks and up until this weekend has been up in the evenings cluster feeding, but this weekend went down in his cot at 6:30 and stayed asleep Smile

All well and good when there's 2 pairs of hands, but during the week it's just me. How do you do it?! DS really needs to go down first as he'll be way over tired and impossible to settle if I leave him til after DD's bedtime. But it's really hard on DD for me to be feeding him and settling him through her story time - it drags out her bedtime and unsettles her and if he's unsettled what do I do with her?

Would really appreciate any advice from people that do this!

Ive been through this - quite recently!
It does pass and get easier I promise!

Little ones can be understanding if you involve them and praise them lots - I found I fed dd2 or had her in a bouncer chair or asleep - it is a bit of a nightmare sometimes but they soon fall into a rhythm (the rhythm changes though!)
You can do it!

I'm having this trouble too...dd is 2 and needs me in the room until she sleeps. DS is 8 weeks. I've found feeding him and hoping he drops off is my only hope! Am hoping as Jazz says it will get easier!
