My 10 month old is being a little sod.
He woke yesterday at 7 had a nap from 11-1 then stayed awake till 11pm
Woke up at 5, nap at 10:45-12:30... And now he won't sleep
I've got work tomo at 7, an ironing pile the size of England, I need to wash my hair and sort bags etc out for tomo
Why??? He's been awake since 12:30 surely he needs to sleep!

Could you try shortening the morning nap? Sounds mad I know but we had a similar problem with dd at that age. If she had a decent morning nap then she would refuse the second one but that would leave too long a stretch until bed and she'd be overtired and grumpy. We gradually cut the morning nap shorter to about 30 minutes, until she was ready to drop to one nap.

Sounds like he may be getting over tired. My DD would show no signs of getting tired at all - but if we let her she'd then stay up to 11-12pm that night - apparently my husband was like that at that age.

In the end we discovered many ways to help our DD get ready for sleep - sleep inducing foods, followed by bath, baby massage and acupressure which calms down a wired baby. Also we found gluten made her more wired than normal. Plus I was also still breastfeeding and also had to watch my diet also - no caffeine etc. Here's our story if you're interested mydaughterwontsleep.com/about/ there's loads of info on everything that worked for us. Good luck.
