Hi, would really love some advice! My 11 month old used to be a great sleeper and slept the whole night through. The past few weeks however she has been starting to sit up in her cot after going to sleep. She,usually starts crying so I go in and put her down again and leave the room. This can continue for a couple of hours. I have sat and watched her and realised that she sits up while still asleep and sways as she has no balance. Her eyes are closed. So she hasn't even woken up. If I'm downstairs I can hear her cry sometimes so she must waken herself up after sitting up for a bit. I'm afraid that she will fall over and hit her head and also I can be up for a number of hours having to put her down again and I'm losing sleep. Any help or advice would be much appreciated!

We had this with DS. Sitting up, rolling over and crawling in his sleep. All linked to development milestones and we didnt find anything that worked except tonwait it out.

We ended up with DH sleeping elsewhere and me having DS in bed with me. That way he woke up less from hitting the bars and I could stay lying down all night
