My ds was sleeping 6.15pm to 7ish. he now wakes at 6am. he will not last any later than 6.15pm at bedtime. he naps approx. 2.5hrs a day. Would cutting this down help?

My 14mo DD was going through a 5.30/6am wake up recently. I find if I keep the nap to 90 minutes, she sleeps till somewhere between 6.30 and 7am. She goes to bed a bit later though, 6.45/7pm.

It might be that he just needs a little bit less sleep now he is older, if he was doing almost 13 at night at 2.5 in the day that's around 15 hours sleep in 24; most children this age sleep for 12-14 hours in 24 hours so it may be worth tweaking the nap or bedtime or both.
