13wo ebf dd has gone from sleeping 8 hours to 2. Why?

My 13 wo dd was sleeping at least 6 and often 8 hours a night by 8-9 weeks. However since 11 weeks she has been waking sometimes hourly, and going 3 hours max. She is also very difficult to settle after a feed and often cries for more or wants picking up. She was never like this from newborn until a couple of weeks ago. Thought at first it was a growth spurt, but seems to have lasted too long now. Weight gain is good, nappies fine, but could it be my supply dropping so she is still hungry?

Google 4 month sleep regression and then chant "this too will pass"!

But she's only 3 months!

I remember a growth spurt around 13 weeks. My twins nearly broke me!

cindyrella · 28/12/2013 04:07

This is why im awake on mumsnet at 4am!
Mine is 13 weeks too & going thru sleep regression. Have her naps also gine to pot? Is she harder to get back to sleep at about 5am?
Seems it is a phase, is normal & will pass.h!?!

Maybe you went from a 12 wk growth spurt straight into sleep regression?

duende · 28/12/2013 06:12

Morning!
We've been in a sleep regression since DD turned 14 weeks. She is now 20. Awake since 5am today. Naps have gone from decent to 30 min long and we have had millions of wake ups and being awake for hours in the middle of the night too :(

Yes naps have gone to pot too. She seems to fight sleep in the day, and i can't put her down if she does drop off. She gets really fractious if she doesn't nap though. Been doing lots of walking with the pram, seems to be the best way to get her off. Shame the forecast for tomorrow is terrible! X
