I only ask cos Joey's in his nappy (and has been all day) it's over 27oC in his room, fan's on full all the windows in the hosue/back door are wide open but it's still baking in there.

normally i'd swaddle in a thin sheet but it's seems to hot for even that tonight and def tomorrow night - any advice on what you guys use/would do, I only swaddle to kept him from keepin himself awake all night flapping around.

normal bed time's 8 o'clock, he's no intention of going yet, and can't see it b4 9.30-10 tbh.

mercy - when I say flapping around I basically mean he's not got full control over his limbs yet and so ends up wacking himself in the head/body etc and invariablly he ends up waking himself up.

we ended up with his cotton sheet, he had 2 good feeds and about 3 oz of water as well. guess he needs it thou, he was up every 2 hours for a drink. we're one of the lucky ones hopefully due a storm today so fingers crossed will be cooler by tonight.

Nothing!

DD strips off in the house at all times atm and won't wear anything to bed either!

I bought a portable aircon unit this year & I am so glad I did. It is in the children's room & stops the whole upstairs of the house turning into the boiling inferno that it would usually be.
I ordered mine from Robert Dyas online. It was less than £200 & was worth every single penny.

DS (17mths) is in a nappy and a 1 tog grobag. His window is on the latch so some air can get in and his fan is on low too. It's around 24-25 degrees in his room.

2 years (today!) - Just a nappy.

burstingbug · 19/07/2006 23:45

Happy birthday to your little one beetle. It's my birthday in 15 minutes!!!

Beetle73 · 19/07/2006 23:47

I think I'm going to bed now, so here's a post-dated Happy Birthday to you Burstingbug. Have a lovely hot day.

Just t-shirts and nappies

iamapieceofcheesecake · 20/07/2006 00:17

Just a nappy with a fan on him. When he gets a bit chilly I will cover him over with a cotton sheet (although he will just kick it off again!)

eidsvold · 20/07/2006 04:43

vest and nappy - when it is in the 30's at night BUT otherwise in summer -- cotton short sleeved shirt and shorty pjs, nappy and light grobag or nightie.

Alipiggie · 20/07/2006 05:26

LOL alexsmum yep in bed with nothing on - all of us it's way to hot and the house fan is on too. The aircon is too blooming noisy and too blooming expensive
