DD is 1 in a week. She goes nursery & CM in the week. She has always sleep badly at nursery & really well at CM & intermediate for me but will absolutely not self settle for naps with me. For the last 1 week even with the CM she will only take 1 nap a day, but it has been at several different random times (one day 09:30 then nothing until bed). I normally rock her off to sleep at home but even doing all the usual tricks this afternoon she is just screaming if I try for sleep & definitely not napping!
I really worry about her not getting enough sleep as she has always had a tendency to be screamy if OT.
Can she go to one nap so early? If yes should I try & establish a new nap routine? I think that left to her own devices with me she would never nap at all so feel like I need a plan & structure to make sure she gets some daytime sleep.

Both of my dds dropped from two to one naps at around 12-15 months. There was a period of a few weeks when they were a bit all over the place and then they settled into having a good lunchtime nap. DD1 had always been a good napper and from about 12 months had her one nap from about 11am-1pm. Dd2 was a horrible napper but got much better when she dropped from two to one naps. Sometimes she would fall asleep too early for her nap and be grumpy later on, but once she got to about 14 months she settled into having a lunchtime nap fro about 12-2.

There's a sleep regression at around 13 months so could be that causing (more) trouble.

Mine both had two naps until 18-20 months.

I put them in a routine of short morning nap about two hours from waking (any later and theyd not nap later) and the second at 1pm. Having them fixed times means we had more success. Ds was terrible though for napping but dd who i left to sort herself out on occasion from 5/6 months is much better.

When we moved to one nap, we always had a fixed lunch time nap and kept the morning one flexible eg if they'd had an early start or bad night. So I suggest the same - make sure nursery and the cm put her down at the same time (1pm?) and if she falls asleep in the morning, wake her up after 20 mins and no sleep past 10am. If she's struggling then nap at 12.30.
