Toddler and 3 month old sleep routines

Come and talk to me about bath/bed and nap routines you have with your toddler and baby...we have mixed success here and the baby seems to be doing better than the toddler at the moment! How do you manage two at bath and bedtime....what have you found that helps keep both happy and everyone not delirious from lack of sleep? I'd love to hear about your schedules and tips!

Watching with interest as I'm expecting number 2 and dreading the toddler v baby bedtime!

I have 19month old DD and 8 week old DS. DS has no real bedtime routine as yet, as he is still taking a late feed at 11, so we keep him with us, then take him up to Moses basket after late feed. DD's routine is bath, bottle, stories and bed. However DS can also want fed when she is having her bedtime routine which is a logistical nightmare, and so far I've found I've needed a second pair of hands at this time, either DH, or my mum has been here so far. I do not know what I'll do when the inevitable night comes when I have the two of them by myself! So I too am watching with interest to see what others do, sorry I'd no words of wisdom Smile

At 5.30 I take both upstairs and settle DS (2) on my bed with the iPad (only time he's allowed it and is full of toys and games).
Give DD (3 months) a quick bath (having already prepared everything), then sit down next to DS and feed her. She's usually asleep by 6.15/6.30 so DS and I go through to his room and play. At 7 I top up the hot water in the bath and do DS.

3 month old and 20 month old here. all 3 of us go in the bath together and dh does lifting and dressing.

when he is on his own he takes dd1 in the shower and dd2 goes without, when I am on my own I top and tail them both. occasionally we all shower.

works for us and means I get a nice sit in the bath at the end of it.
