Anyone's baby dropped morning nap before 12 months?

DD2 is 10m and showing signs of dropping AM nap. Seems a bit early tho. If your baby did this, what time did you have lunch and PM nap? Because of DD1's activities, we can't really have lunch before 12/12.30 - I suspect DD2 won't last till after that. Hmm.

Hiya
My dd (9months) hardly sleeps in the day at all now, and normally has lunch about 1ish.
HTH!!

Dd2 went to 1 afternoon nap at about 11m. She sleeps when she's tired, usually falls asleep between 12 and 1. Can you give her early lunch or healthy snacks on the go?

Hi jofeb I take my hat off to you. DD1 is 2y 5m and often still naps up to 2.5h in the afternoon if I let her (I get her up so that she settles in the evening) - I find the days when she skips it altogether very trying. If she'd started that mallarkey at 9m I'd've chucked her out the window

So when you say hardly at all, how much and when? And what's her nighttime sleep like?

Ds did this when he was 8 months- I had not expected it! And tried for 3 days to put him to bed, than my friend said "some days dd naps at 10am, sometimes it's 3pm" And so I have now noticed how much each day is sooo different! He's 11m now, and recently he has just had an hour and half late morning, but he's just getting mobile so I guess that will change soon enough too!

Mm, TT - DD1 went to 1 nap around 12m. Early lunch difficult because we go to groups & stuff with DD1 in the morning. Need to synchronise their routines as much as possible to keep my sanity - will need to rethink a bit tho obviously

That's interesting bramblina. So much more difficult to be flexible with these things with 2nd child - and I SO need their afternoon naps to overlap!!!

It feels weird doesn't it when they drop naps. I remember ds not wanting to go down for his morning nap and I was like 'just go to sleep!'

He used to nap 3 times a day up until he was around 10 months and he slept through the night from 6 weeks.
This dropped to 2 longer naps, usually one in morning around 10am and one around 2pmish after dinner.
He is now 18 months and has a 2 hour nap most days depending on where we are. It varies between 11am-1pm ish or if he isn't that tired I will give him his lunch at 12pm and then put him down for a nap.
Try not to stress too much about times, I used to , just depends on how they are on the day and what you are doing on the day!

Whoops sorry didn't see you had asked for dd2! Sorry am getting tired!

Oh franch, I had no idea! He has always been a great sleeper, but around 5 months had less and less daytime sleep, some days 2x 20 min naps. Then some days he would sleep an hour and a half. Some nights he would wake twice for big feeds, some nights he would sleep 12 hours sound. 3 weeks ago he slept from 10.30-1.15! I didn't know what to do with myself! And so I find it so bemusing when folk say "he takes a nap at 11am and one at quarter past 3, then he sleeps 7-7 every night"! They must be lying! I really didn't realise how different 2 days could be!
