She goes down perfectly for a nap at lunchtime, but in the evening just goes bananas and screams for ages. If I get her up, she plays happily downstairs for as long as I let her, and then repeats the screaming abdabs. She hasn't had a daytime nap today, and is knackered, but still sounds as though I've put her into a pit of vipers. Please tell me this is a phase!!

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

If you are getting her up when she scream then she is learning that this gets her what she wants, my ds2 used to do this and I left him for five minutes, then seven and so on.

He now goes straight to bed with no screaming. Do you have a bedtime routine?

Yes - same routine every night and my ds goes to bed with no trouble at all. She has only recently started this; until a couple of weeks ago she was fine! I do do controlled crying, and I usually only get her up if she's really been going for it for ages but I know that sends the wrong message.
