13mth nap trouble - overstimulated & exhausted (only sleeps out and about)

13th mth DD still co-sleeps (working well - 8pm to 6am) and has generally had her naps on the move in the buggie (twice a day - bit unpredictable).
We've reached the stage of getting very stimulated, eg at the playground, then finding it difficult to wind down (being carried for half an hour walking in the park typically). I wouldn't mind, but she then only sleeps for 20 mins and wakes up screaming. Probably in transition to one nap a day, but she seems very tired even though she can't stay asleep.
Any similar experience or tips on winding down or staying asleep longer (we're kind of doing attachment parenting).

What's attachment parenting?

Bump for you too.

I think she definatly needs more sleep. between 12 and 18 months babies need 13-14 hours sleep.

If your daughter is sleeping 8-6 thats 10 hours so she needs about 3 hours during the day or to stretch longer at night.

I'd start setting a regular naptime after lunch, go into the bedorom with her and for the first week just have it as quiet time, do whatever you normally do at night to get her to go to slepe and if you have to/want to stay with her and have a kip yourself.

Once you have that nap well settled (i'd reocmend for 2 hrs) you will find she copes better with such a long day.
