When do you go into your baby in the morning?

We have just moved 6 month old dd into her own room. She slept in a 6 hour block which was brilliant! Think we must have been waking each other up!

This morning she was awake chatting at 20 past 6 and I wasn't sure when to go into her. I listened out and ended up going in when her chatter started turning more into a cry, was that right?

That's what I do. Unfortunately this morning the chatter started at 4.45am and kept us awake 'tip it became a cry at 5.30am.

I always wait for a cry, especially if its early because sometimes they drop back off to sleep.

Oh good, thank you! I didn't want her to think she had been abandoned with me not coming when she first started chattering away like I would when she was next to me! pfb alert! She lasted a good half an hour before it turned into a whine/cry.

I bloody missed her last night though!
