Came across an article today which struck a chord with me, (in fact two or three articles but they're a range of things so I won't digress here.)
Taking-common-blood-pressure-drugs-while-pregnant-increases-risk-of-hyperactive-children
Just out of interest, has anyone had or has currently a non-sleeping baby and were prescribed methyldopa for high bp during pregnancy? I don't want to worry anybody and certainly the risks of high bp outweigh any possible future issues with ADHD or sleep. It was just the one sentence about methyldopa rather than the other medication which made me think.
I was on fairly high dose of methyldopa for much of pregnancy. DS who is now 2, is only just about sleeping through but not with any consistency and wakes at around 4 am currently. It has been hellish with sleep until recently though and we have still had major issues around teething lately. Feel optimistic that nearly there though.
