10wo fidgety and making noises in sleep

My dd sleeps for about 8 hours in the night and sleeps well for about the first 6 but after that fidgets about and makes loads of noises. If we give her a dummy she calms down and sleeps well (until it falls out) but she makes so much noise it's like she's awake. We're pretty sure she's sleeping but makes so much noise it's like she'll wake herself at any time. Any ideas?

at sleeping well for the first six. That's awesome! My DD struggles from 5am onwards, she will sleep very happily on me from 5 on or in my bed, but staying by herself in the crib doesn't work. She's four months old :(.
