how to overcome tanturms at bedtime from a 1yr old

she is nearly walking and i think teething at the moment, but we seem to have an ongoing problem whereby when we leave the rooms she starts crying/screaming and I don't really know how best to deal with it, for me I don't like the idea of CC but as she is that bit older i'm tempted to try it as i don't know what else to do, any suggestions please

She's not going to stop resisting bedtime all the time she knows that she is going to get a reaction from you and be able to get in and out of her bed.
Tell her it's time for bed and leave the room. I would leave her for 3 minutes to start with. Go back in, lay her back down and leave again. Push it out by a bit everytime. If my DD (15 months) won't settle, this is what I do and it always works after 10 minutes. I leave it for at least the three minutes, as more often than not, this is as long as she needs to cry it out. I think going in too early doesn't allow them the time to calm themselves and get themselves to sleep.

You can do all sorts of versions of CC. Some are nothing like the scary CC most of us think of.

still having problems so tonight we are going to try varying the routine, tea at 5pm playtime then supper at 6.15-6.30ish followed by bath at 7pm and straight to bed afterwards with bedtime bottle and hopefully we will see some results

well we changed routine and its working so far (fingers very very crossed) obviously we are still going to get nights when she won't settle but i've definitely seen some improvement
