Cot Bumpers ... should or should not for tummy sleepers ???

Hmmm ... I know that is controversial, but I am tempted to use the cot bumper at the top of DD's cot ... is this OK ? SHe sleeps on her tummy, and since she has become more mobile, she often edges up to the top and gets her head banging at top of cot or else arms caught in the side rungs and so I worry that she will inadvertently hurt herself ...

Has anyone else had this problem and how was it resolved ?

dd slept on her belly very early on (and still does at 2) and she also used to wiggle up to the end of the cot through the night. We placed a blanket folded up up at one end and tied it through the bars - also placed her near the end of the cot so she wouldn't wiggle as much. How old is your dd?

Hana , that sounds like a good idea ...DD is 5 months ... This morning I had to move her back down to the bottom of cot after she woke up head banging and then later on her arms were stuck .

Was ok for my ds until he started pulling himself up at 7.5mo and then it was a possible danger. Removed it (and dropped the cot a level!) and now he snuggles up anywhere in the cot, sometimes against the bars, but I just shift him a bit once he's gone into that deep sleep.
