My co-sleeping, bf monster finally spent a full night in his cot WITHOUT WAKING ONCE!!! Obviously DH and I never slept a bloody wink and I'm knackered today, and it may well be a one off fluke so I'm not letting him lure me into a false sense of security.
So basically week 1 was no bf, and spending all night in his cot, when he woke cuddled back to sleep etc but no bfs in this time. His wakenings reduced to about 3, some of them a few hours long!!
Last night for the first time ever I put him in cot awake, sat right next to him in a chair. He was very upset, although probably more angry, his little voice was hoarse and I had tears running down my face. The MN thread ('what worked for us') said most babies fell asleep within 45 mins, bang on, he was about 43 mins. That was him, not a peep until the morning, although for the first few hours he still sounded a bit tearful which upset me. DH actually woke him this morning at 645am. Would never, ever have believed this.
Night 2 tonight. Have a knot in my stomach thinking about it....
DS nearly 15 mths and his night sleep has always been shite :D
