DD waking up crying whenever we go up or downstairs.

DD is 17 months old and goes to bed without any problems. But whenever we go up and downstairs after she has gone to bed, she cries and quite loudly. She settles again after five mins max, once the 'noise' has stopped, ie after I've finished brushing my teeth. DH is on nights and she even does it at 2am when he goes upstairs when he gets in from work. We don't go into her and she goes back to sleep quickly, just seems strange.

The only difference is she hasn't got the fan on in her bedroom now as doesn't need it, so I was wondering if she is hearing noises more?

Anyone any ideas.

Set up some white noise. Use pad app or buy a sound spa or just set a radio to white noise. Put it on low and it will mask house noise. My DS always slept well with white noise. I used the sound of the sea.

Or put the fan on again.

Hmm... How about playing white noise to replace the fan noise?

We had this. Plays lots of different sounds. Used it for myself a few times too.

Thanks might give white noise a go.
