Could lack of sleep be causing my headaches?

I find I'm really prone to headaches and I've been getting a lot of them lately. I've had rotten sleeps for about 5 years Wink and today behind my right eye is getting sore and I feel I'm getting too many headaches. A bit of stress can bring on a sore head really easily too..

is this normal?

I think it would be down to the lack of proper sleep and stress can definitely cause headaches.

are you worrying about the fact your eye is getting sore too, if you are worried go to the doctor, your worrying could be making them worse

hope you feel better soon Smile

I am a real worrier, but I think it's more the continual broken sleep.

lack of sleep and stress will definitely give you headaches. As will eating badly and drinking too much coffee due to lack of sleep, stress etc. Also, taking too many painkillers for headaches can cause rebound headaches. Not fair is it!

Best thing to do is to get a doctor or optician to check your eyes so you know they're OK. Cut the coffee if you can bear to. Look at your sleep routine - best advice I saw was that we're careful with our children's wind down to sleep routines and we should do the same ourselves. And try a few days without the painkillers.
