Hi all,

This is my first time posting here and I'm at my wits end! My lovely lady has never been a great sleeper, but suddenly about 6 weeks ago it turned into hourly night wakings, where she will only settle if she is fed by me (we've never previously used feeding as a way of getting her to sleep).

I just don't know what to do - I can't carry on like this (I'm self employed) and my mental health is suffering through the sleep dep. My partner takes her some nights and she will have about 4/5 bottles and can often be hard to settle in between - so I'm not convinced that the advice some people have given of stopping breastfeeding would actually help much anyway...

If anyone has any experience/ideas I'd be really grateful! xx

Does she eat enough through the day? Suppertime?

We're doing baby led weaning but she is keen on her food...I upped her protein too at the HVs advice (she said it might help) and it hasn't made any difference...it's like she's just never getting into a deep sleep?

Could she be teething? My DS is a terrible sleeper but it becomes hourly when his teeth are on the move. The feeding is her getting comfort. Have you tried calpol?

Another adding teething - does she have any? Even if theres no sign, I still believe their gums can be sore. Calpol or baby ibuprofen (latter worked best for mine) at bedtime for a couple of nights and see if you notice any difference. All the best
