Please help, my baby son has started waking himself up in the night because he's rolling over on to his tummy and cant roll back. he's 5.5 mnths and was sleeping thru till this happened! is it dangerous? im worried he will have problems breathing. Any ideas how i can help? at the moment i go in and turn him back over. advice much appreciated.

You can buy special supports that stop your baby rolling over in the night {http://www.babysecurity.co.uk/pp/Baby_Child_Sleeping_Safety/Baby_Sleeping_Posture/Red_Castle_Babycal.html\here}

I dont think it is dangerous- my baby has slept on her front since she was 4 weeks old and is fine- some babies find it more comfortable that way. At his age i feel sure his breathing would not be a problem- but maybe he doesnt find it so comfortable and therefore cant sleep that way. I would continue to turn him until he is able to roll back again. If it is any consolation, my 9.5 month old does exactly the same but the other way round and i have to put her back on her front !
