6 month old won't settle after a 4.30am feed!

Hi all,

For the past week, my little one has been going to bed fine, at 7 or 7.15 pm, and sleeping through until 3.30 or 4.30am for a feed. She is genuinely hungry and will have a 10 feed and I can pop her back in her cot awake when she normally re-settles herself to sleep.

For the past week or so however, she has been having trouble getting back to sleep - it sounds like she is trying to, but after about 20 mins of whinging and maoning, she will start crying and I will have to take her into the bed with us so I can feed her to sleep. It's a real in-between-time, probably too close to her normal wake time (between 6.30 and 7.30?) for her to go back to sleep. Last night she got a bit hysterical and had a couple of big feeds within a few hours of each other (4.30am, 5am then 7am!)

How can I avoid this? Would a dream feed help? Or how can I phase out her 4.30 am feed? She is feeding on average every 4 hours, any less than that and she just snacks ...

Her usual schedule is as follows:

6.45/7am: Wake & feed
9am: 45 min nap
11am: Feed
12 or 12.15: 45 min nap
2pm: 45 min nap (as the previous one is normally not long enough, though sometimes they are consolodated)
3pm: Feed
4pm/4.15: 30-45 min cat nap
5pm: Feed
7pm: Bottle & bed

Would love your help!!! Thanks
