Anyone else just gone down to 1 nap per day? How's it going?

My 14mo DD used to do a long morning nap about 9:30 then a short nap in the afternoon at about 3pm. Since leaning to crawl at 9 months she's slept 12.5 hours a night.

Last week she REALLY fought at least one of her naps so in Friday we changed to 1 nap only....... So our day is nowis:

7:30 - wake up
12:15-1:45 nap
6:40 bed

Difficult to say how it's going as it doesn't seem to have affected her night sleep. But she is grumpy which I presume is because she's not used to such long awake times?? Do we just stick at this until she's used to it? I think there are possibly more gentle ways to transition but I work 3 days a week (she's with grandparents 1 day and nursery 2 days) so

Ops! Bloody phone...

...so with only 4 days straight with me I don't think we'd make much headway with a slower transition. Plus I'm loathed to spend the days I do have with her battling with naps. At nursery she has lunch between 12-1 so hopefully she can last just that little bit longer....

Anyway, I guess I'm not looking for advice per se, just interested to see how it's going for others!!

Very timely! I just came on to post about a possible 2-1 transition. Although my DD is younger - a week off 12 months. But she goes down fine in the morning but is fighting her afternoon nap like crazy which is driving me mad. So I'm wondering whether to start the transition. As it is several days she only gets one nap as she refuses the afternoon one. Arghh. My DS didn't go down to only one nap till he was 18 months so I'm a bit thrown...

My dd is 10.5 months and moving to one nap. I find she still likes to have a quiet time around the time she did have her morning nap, so we just have a book and a feed and a cuddle for a bit in a quiet place. This usually gets her through to a lunchtime nap around 12:30/1:00 which is usually around 1.5-2 hours. If she's woken early and fancies a sleep at the morning quiet time then I just let her. She has has 1 nap 4 out of the past 6 days. On the days where she has had 2 its just been a quick 30 mins.
