Encouraging 15 w.o. to stay asleep in the evening

Yesterday I managed to get 15ish week old DS2 in the carry cot in the evening for the first time. Grin Normally he sleeps in the sling, as he does for all daytime naps.

But feeding him to sleep takes ages, then he wakes between every sleep cycle (which is normal, I know). I'm happy to keep on with feeding to sleep, but is there a good way to encourage him not to wake completely up and need another whole feed after each sleep cycle? Those feeds eat up my evening - and I'd like to get a bit of time off carrying him in the sling even if only so I can use things like the oven.

I ought to know the answer to my own question really, but my brain is shot. Blush
