My son is 1 in 10 days, he slept from 10pm-5am between the ages of 3-4months then the sleep regression came and he's never really left it.

He had some nights where he's been sleeping from 7pm to 5am but now more often than not he's sleeping for a maximum of 1-2hours then waking up screaming and not settling again unless he's on the breast- but its still hit and miss.

I don't mind if he doesn't sleep through fully, but I would really appreciate the break and some sleep (we do cosleep sometimes but I still can't sleep).

What gentle methods could I use to help him to settle to sleep and stay asleep? I'm not a fan of CIO/CC.

Have you read 'the no cry sleep solution'?

Maybe try night weaning? If you google Jay Gordon night weaning you can get some info.

My 1 year old was the same. One night I couldn't take it anymore so we night weaned. He cried in my DHs arms for about 3 nights and then he slept through til 5

Stargirl I have the book t home but have not got round to read it yet, but I shall make time overnight when DS is up.

I'll Google Jay Gordon, I've heard the name before but I'll have a look now

Thank you both!
