The one thing my 2 yr old daughter was previously good at was going to bed... this past week she just won't. She screams and screams and screams, until I want to scream louder and longer in her little red face!!!

I have that awful knot of tension and I just hate that child right now! Oh. Please. Shut. Up. PLEASE.

To make it worse she is now waking up earlier too, so I am f**king knackered.

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

Now, I shall go and stand outside the door pondering whether to go in and sooth her or smother her.

lol

sorry shouldn't laugh, it's the image of you pondering at her door.

I can't help, my ds is only 8mths so all this is still to come I'm afraid.

Mercy · 19/04/2006 20:04

Keep away from the door - go as far away as you can. At 2 she's old enough for you to leave her for a (longish) while

Mega sympathy! It is hard!

LittleSarah · 19/04/2006 20:09

Thanks guys, I will leave her, just spent the last 10 minutes putting batteries in old baby night light I haven't used in about a year... she looked delighted until I left the room... what is worst is occasionally she stops screaming and just calls 'mummy' really sweetly...

Right glass of wine it is. Wish I had a bigger house (but I may have seem ear muffs somewhere. Seriously).

Someone once said to me that at this age they're like a dripping tap...Drip, drip, drip , drip all day it's like torture you have my sympathy. I also have a clingy 21 week old too so the drips just get louder and my headache gets more painful i'm going to join you in a glass of wine..SIGH.

There is a saying that I repeat to myself like a Mantra at times like this 'They most need my attention when they least deserve it'!

Try it, see if it works for you:)

LittleSarah · 19/04/2006 20:43

Ahhhh... I am confused soapbox... does that mean I should give her attention?? Only half a glass of wine too...

Oh... oh... oh... do we have silence?

Fingers crossed. Smile
