Do babies sleep more during/after growth spurts

Hi,

My DD is 10 weeks old and usually feeds every 3-4 hours. The last few days she was wanting to be fed every 2 hours and was hardly sleeping during the day. I took her to the doctor and he said she was fine.

Today though she has been asleep pretty much the whole day apart from a couple of hours in the morning. She is still feeding when she wakes up but I'm worrying that there is something wrong... When she's awake she is fine but was wondering if this is normal behaviour after a growth spurt?

It is yes - I find that my LO slept very well just after a growth spurt. That's when we'd get 3-7 nights of 12 hours, only waking for feeds and then straight back to bed.

Mine did exactly the same :)
