7 month old still keeping me up all night

DD is 7 months and i have no problem putting her down to sleep but she wakes all night. She goes down at 7 in her own room, wakes at 9/10 for a bottle, wakes at 1/2 and i have to get her back off to sleep and then from roughly 4 every morning it's a struggle to keep her asleep and then she'll wake for the day at around 5.20am.

she has to be swaddled and have a soother to sleep. i wouldn't mind the soother if she could put it back in herself (which DS could at that age) but obviously she can't coz she swaddled. she breaks out of the swaddle constantly so i have to reswaddle her and sometimes hold her arm down to get her back to sleep but i've tried loads of times to put her down unswaddled and she just cannot get off to sleep.

i can't think of any way to break the swaddle habit except controlled crying and it's one thing to do this at bedtime but at 1,2,3,4,5am, when she will also be waking DS up, i just don't know if i can face it. am at the end of my tether though, i go to bed at 8.30 just so i can function the next day and DH has started sleeping on the couch so he can get some sleep :(

I have just posted with the exact same problem with my four month old son!

no help as my 9mo is up to similar tricks.... I'm knackered!

ElphabaTheGreen · 06/01/2013 10:06

Bog normal, sadly. My 7mo is awake every 1.5 to 2 hours throughout the entire night (minimum of six wake ups a night) and I've tried every sleep training method going, including CC. We have a support thread here for mums of awful sleepers if you would like to join.

clairebzippy Google 'four month sleep regression'. That will account for your wakeful baby, I'm sure.
