Waaah what happened to my sleeping baby...20 wo will not go down

DD is 20 weeks tomorrow. She has been a great sleeper and has been sleeping from 7pm-6am for about a month. She is ebf and bedtime routine is bath, grobag, breastfeed, cuddle with dummy then down into moses basket (normally fell asleep either feeding or cuddling) She would then stir maybe once or twice between 7.30-10.30pm and need her dummy back and a two minute hand hold. But after that slept soundly until waking for a drowsy feed at around 6am then back to sleep until 7.30-8am.

In the last few days this has all gone totally to pot. Starting with going down initially fine but then when stirring needing to be picked up and cuddled back to sleep taking 15-20mins 3 or 4 times in the evening, to last night refusing to stay asleep in Moses basket at all, this evening it took nearly 3 hours for her to even drop off in my arms (where she currently is!) and I'm dreading trying to put her down as I fear she will instantly wake and the whole thing will start again. She seems to think each 30-40min sleep is a nap and then wants to stay awake for a few hours and screams if we hold her in a 'sleep position' waking dd1 up too!

She is not waking for food I don't think though i have feed her at 3/4am the last few nights just to check if it is that. She's on the small side so still fits nicely in her Moses basket but maybe she needs to move to cot?

What has happened to my lovely sleeper?! How can I solve this?

What's her daytime sleep like, Could she be over or under tired? Have you tried calpol, in case her teeth are bothering her at night?

Daytime sleep is hit and miss and always has been. Will sleep for 1-2hrs if in pram (moving), car or being held but only about 20mins in basket or bouncy chair. Have tried calpol as she is dribbling and chewing fists like mad. It's just such a sudden change Hmm

I'm on my knees with this. Finally managed to get her down at 10pm after a few false starts. Ran around doing jobs for an hour. Bed at 11pm. She woke at 11.30pm-12.15am then went down until 2.20am and she's just fallen asleep in my arms again. So 3.30am and a grand total of just over an hours sleep HmmHmm She woke dd1 up screaming too. This is torture. Worse than when she was newborn.

Could it be an ear infection? DS hasn't had one, but apparently they totally cock up sleep as it's so uncomfortable... Sending virtual cups of coffee, hope it gets better soon Smile

Google 4 month sleep regression. It is totally normal for sleep to go tits up around this stage. Growth spurt and also changes in their sleep cycles. Just do whatever gets her back to sleep the quickest and try to power on through it and rest when you can in the day.
