Dd is one and while she sleeps great in the night, she has started being a right pain at naptimes! What sort of sleep routine do your one year olds have?

At 12/13 months DD made the transition from two to one nap during the day, having her one sleep late morning for 1-2 hours. She was still waking at least twice each night, and I was feeding her in the night until about 14-15 months.

She is now 26 months and is in the process of dropping her day time nap- it is sorely missed by me! She does generally sleep through the night now though.

Ah maybe she is ready to go down to one nap Sad. This morning she was awake at 6am and by 8 was eye rubbing and looking for her dummy. took til 8.30 to get her to sleep and she has woken already.

Im on shift til 11pm.tonight so really needed to go back to sleep when she did but ive maybe had 15/20mins so feel worse now.

She still sounds shattered.

SLEEP?!! my 1yr old has one or two naps a day totalling just over 2-hrs. depends on how early or late we get up.
she is a bugger to get to sleep (feeds to sleep or at least we try then she pisses about for 1-2 hours playing on the bed until then ready to come back to the boob and suck til my nip nearly drops off).
then will sleep sometimes for 2-3 hours at the start of the night then wakes anything between every 10-90 minutes through the whole night... for the last year....
I have said this before but the day she sleeps through Im putting a huge post on this thread!! (i've got too much of a sleep problem myself after living with dd to ever sleep through again!!)

DD was the same - frequent night wakings, so we went cold turkey - NO milk at night, given 5 mins to cry it out and if she was still crying after five minutes we would go in, check dummy and teddy were there and say shh night night. It took about 5 nights, and they were five difficult nights, but I literally put her down and hear not a peep from her for 13 hours.

That is partially why I want to keep on top of day sleeps so I don't ruin what we have on the night time. She napped again after lunch for 45 mins, and went down (at MILs who is sitting) at 6.30. Hopefully she won't be up at cock crow for her!!

Think I'll start to focus on one nap - get her out nice and early and maybe an earlier lunch at 11.30, then she might have one big chunk of sleep.

One year old here sleeps 7pm until 6am ish.

Naps are 9.30 and 1pm. Usually first one is an hour and second 40mins. I've been wondering if she could do with moving to just one nap.

I don't know when to do the one nap. She's tired around 9ish but if I held out until later she manages . However I have a pre school run at 12.30 until 1.30so it either needs to be earlier while big daughter is at pre school or after lunch but that limits our afternoon activities!
