A bit of sympathy and any coping tips please (5mo sleep)

Oh I just need some sleep. DS (nearly 6 mo) wakes every 90 minutes at night, including one long period of being awake (it's been over an hour now) and then wanting to be up for the day around 5:30am.

He's a better sleeper than DD (now 3) was as a baby, as she used to want pacing, singing, rocking back to sleep each time. Apart from this hideous awake time (poo related), he just feeds quite quickly back to sleep.

He's had some weight gain problems and was in hospital a few weeks ago being fed via NG tube, so firs need the bf in the night.

I know it's normal. I just need sympathy! He's totally and utterly lovely and I would love to play with him all night, but I need to sleep! I feel sick with tiredness.

And here. Same with nearly 7mo DS and he's always been like this.

Me too. Going on 9 months. Do get the occasional stretch of 3-4 hours now. Didn't a few months ago. Chin up.

My DS is the same (in fact I recently started a similar thread). Do you co sleep at all? DS occasionally wants to start the day before I do. I keep my eyes firmly shut and pin him down in a cuddle, after 1/2 an hour or so of trying to engage me with cute noises he gives up and goes back to sleep. A 'normal' wake up time is about the only thing keeping me going.

And remember, it won't last for ever!
