13 mo wont go to sleep in cot

Hi our 13 mo daughter just will not go to sleep in her cot anymore without being completely knackered.

She had always gone to sleep fine now she just stands there crying. Put her down stands up. Put her down stands up. This is repeated until we have no choice but to put her on our bed and within 30-60 mins she drifts off and then we put her in the cot.

We dont want to undo our hard work over the last 13 months but have no idea why she wont go to sleep even when she is tired. She just stands there crying.

Any ideas?

Thanks

No ideas at all rachndan, but massive sympathy. I'm having a very similar problem with my DD (same age). I've started a thread on this on Parenting. The consensus seems to be teething. This wasn't something I had considered because she wasn't showing any signs, but the others say that molars can cause problems before any symptoms present themselves.

A colleague mentioned "wonder weeks" to me. Have you heard of these?

How long has this been going on for. I'm a week in and really struggling. I work full time and I'm feeling terrible!

More support from me as I'm having the same issue with my 13 month old DS. I think he is teething though. So far it's been going on for about 3 weeks Sad

My 11 month old DD is the same......... will only nap in the buggy. She is definitely teething and has had a cold, but goes ballistic in the cot at naptimes (she's ok at bedtime).

No advice but nice to know there's a gang of us!
