DS (9m.o.) has discovered the joys of pulling himself up. Unfortunately this means he is very keen to experiment with this whenever I put him in his cot for naps or night time, so getting him to sleep is a massive battle of him standing up, me putting him back down as calmly as possible and repeat... He also then wakes up every couple of hours stands up, then chats until he gets tired and needs our help to get down again (I think, or he just wants us to come and put him back down for some company, who knows). I just do the same thing, put him back down as calmly as possible and repeat.
I've been trying gradual removal from the room with Andrea Grace's book (which has worked wonders) but now whenever I leave the room, he just stands up again, so I'm back to stroking his back/singing etc until he's basically asleep.
How do I get DS to stop standing up/go (back to) sleep on his own? Ideas would be very, very welcome [hsmile]
