Could the sedation be causing the bad dreams? I know this sounds odd, but she will be in a heavier level of sleep quicker than she would be normally if sedated. What is she like without the sedation?

The reason I suggest this is, on a personal level, I sometimes take Nytol myself and although it induces sleep I often have bad dreams when I take it.

she is worse without the vallergan.

Oh hun, its sounds awful. DS has night terrors, but we are going through a period of not having them. Thank goodness, they are so distressing arent they?

Did she settle eventually? How is she so far tonight?

Excuse my ignorance but is Vallergan to help with sleeping?

misdee · 02/04/2006 22:07

yes. she has ASD traist and has never slept well. tonight there have been a few stirrings, no screams yet. the worryig thing is that night terrors should last about 30mins or something, not 3 hours. she really can hurt herself during these times.
