I am really at my wits end. dd2 had started to get really good at night. Going to bed at 7pm and only waking up once for a feed and then sleeping until about 7am, even 8am some days. Well for some reason over the last week she's woken at 12am on the dot and drank a whole bottle. Then she wakes up at 4am and that's it. She doesn't want a bottle but won't go back to sleep and just screams until someone gets her up and takes her down stairs. She seems to be in this new (horrible) routine and I really don't know how to break it. I've got a 2 year old so it's not practical to leave her screaming. We have tried to leave her as long as possible but she doesn't let up until we've got her up.

We've tried stalling her bedtime but she gets so tired and just wants to sleep. She doesn't sleep well during the day and never has. I can't catch up on sleep as I've got my toddler to look after and feel I'm really not doing the best for her as I'm soooooo tired all the time.

If anyone's got any ideas of at least something we can try I'd be so grateful. By the way, it's not hunger as she's on solids now and takes a lot on board during the day with plenty of milk etc. and nothing else has changed about her night time routine, cot, bedding etc.

It sounds like your little one is going through the same than mine. Would it be the age? Mine is 5 months.
Last night I spend 2 hours to try to stop her crying and going back to sleep, this time I was determined not to take her in our bed. I slept in her room and kept saying shush, and gave her the dummy! She managed to sleep from 2 to 6am and decided to be wide awake at 6am, I took her with me, she was playing and then 1hour later went back to sleep.
The worse thing in all is that I can see the quality of her sleep is bad.
