22 month old waking up during the night

Help! My DD is 22 months old & has had a few nights this week where she will
Wake at around 2/2.30 am & be impossible to get back to bed. The other night involved me being in with her until 5 trying to
Sit with her in the chair/
Rock her a bit. She doesn't seem unwell or teething & has pretty good communication for her age so will tell you if she has a tummy ache etc. she basically cries/ screams & shouts when we try to leave the room.
Chucks her dummy/ teddy out of the cot then calls for them until you go pick them up. Same has happened tonight tho she woke up I think because she had a dirty nappy, so changed her & then she was just gripping on to me. Tried to bring her into our bed but we've had all kinda of antics for the last hour or more where she is just mucking around.

I feel maybe it is a bit of a seperation thing or like she is just trying to see if she can get us in there to play- as soon as you cuddle her & she calms down she wants to sing/ play games etc. DH & I both shattered & v grateful for help & advice

This sounds identical to what is happening to us at the moment. DD is 21 months and for the last week, she has woken in the early hours, screeching, and nothing will settle her. I am struggling with lack of sleep and working full time. Currently getting around 3 hours a night as she just won't settle for hours. No idea what to do as she's always slept so well up until now. However, this is now becoming a pattern and desperately need some advice too Sad
