I have made a rod for my own back and always fed DD to sleep as it used to be easiest way and not too bad but now she is older doesn't need the milk (and I have just discovered she isn't actually getting any as I have no milk there!!) it can take hours and i really want her to be self settling especially as we have another one on the way. Trouble is the only way she has recently started going off with my DP is crying to sleep and i mean screaming at times, in his arms.... this is not ideal either we really want to be putting her down and settling her with stories or something and leaving her to it but she just doesn't seem to have an off switch until she is suckling from me. This also results in waking frequently and screaming if i am not near by for settling again. I often sleep with her and we did used to cosleep all the time. Me and DP are arguing and I feel quite resentful that he cannot help and that it is ALWAYS me she wants which i know is not his fault, how can we teach her to self settle? thinking of trying music....any recomendations?
