DS2 was an ok sleeper when little but after bout of bronchitis & baby excema he is now a dreadful sleeper & I have run out of ideas as to how to help him!!

DS1 was dreadful....never slept through once til 21 months, DS2 born when he was 2.5y so have a massive sleep debt to catch up on which doesn't help with clear thinking.

Struggle with bedtime routine for DS2 as won't sleep without me in room, stands up
& screams blue murder. DS1 very clingy at night so often refuses to stay in bed until can say good night properly when DS2 asleep.

Napping tricky as pick up at pre-school is 1 & if not at pre-school often out & about so not good routine. Have tried the dreaded CC but he just made himself sick after 5mins & I just can't follow through....

Magic wand anyone?

Hi hazbaz

Don't worry yourself out. I suggest that u wait till he starts rubbing his eyes and yawning. Wait for the usual sleep cues. Sleep, yawn, cuddles, winjing etc. then take him to bed. Try anc get your younger one down earlier, that way you can spend some alone time with your older one and he might settle sooner. He might not be ready to sleep without his mummy.

My ds1 15mnths and not ready to sleep with out me. I have to leave ds2 dwnstairs with mother in-law (his 1wk old).

Don't worry it'l work out by itself
